A Cysty-Dance with Death is a side quest in the Outer Worlds. It is a quest given by Clive Lumbergh who wants the Stranger to kill Catherine Malin.

Synopsis

Clive Lumbergh, owner of the C&P Factory, has made a counter offer to the price SubLight's Catherine Malin put on his life. If you betray her, he'll reward you.

Walkthrough

This quest is started by informing Clive that the player was sent there by SubLight to kill him, but that something can be worked out. Clive will ask the player to go kill Catherine. She is found in Malin's House of Hospitality in Fallbrook. She can be talked to, but aside from her usual dialogue options, the only option is to attack her by saying that Clive made a counter offer that starts with taking her head. Once she is killed, the quest Slaughterhouse Clive is botched and SubLight reputation is decreased. After speaking to Clive, the quest is completed and he will say to expect periodic deliveries of boarst wurst to the Unreliable. C&P Boarst Factory reputation is also gained.

Notes

This quest can also be acquired by convincing Clive to work with Catherine with a medical 55 check but then passing a persuasion 1 check to offer to kill Catherine anyway. If the quest was acquired this way, but Slaughterhouse Clive is completed peacefully instead, this quest will be botched.
