Ammunition or ammo is the material fired, scattered, dropped or detonated from any weapon. Nearly all ballistic weapons require some form of ammunition to operate.
Ammo Types[]
Each weapon requires a certain type of ammunition to be used. In The Outer Worlds there are three different types of ammo.
Light Ammo[]
Light ammo is the average-grade ballistic ammunition used in most Handguns and other light ballistic weapons. Spacer's Choice is the biggest manufacturer of this ammo type, which remains the most cost-effective solution to any threat.
Heavy Ammo[]
Heavy ammo is the the high-grade ammunition used by hard hitting ballistic weapons like Heavy Weapons and most Long Guns. Produced by Vulcan.
Energy Cell[]
Energy cells are high-energy electrochemical cell packs used to power energy-based weapons. It is a product of Firefly.
