Don't Bite The Sun is a companion quest in The Outer Worlds.

Synopsis

Parvati wants to surprise Junlei with a perfect date, and she needs your help to see it through. Quest fails if Parvati is killed during the quest. Consider when going into a fight with Parvati on the team.

2		Give Parvati the Cleanser	You got a beauty gift set for Parvati. Give it to her and see what she thinks.
3		Find Sweetheart Cakes.	Find Sweetheart Cakes in the old Rizzo's Facility in Cascadia, on Monarch.
4		Buy a Dustback Casserole	Purchase a Dustback Casserole from Chef Raymond in Stellar Bay
5		Give Parvati the Food	Now that you've squared away the fine dining portion of Parvati's big date, you should let her know.
6		Find Parvati Fancy Clothes	Parvati's feeling self-conscious about her attire. Help her find something with a little more flair at Celeste Jolicoeur's Haberdashery in Byzantium.
7		Speak to Parvati	You helped Parvati find a snazzy outfit for her date with Junlei. Talk to her and see if she needs anything else.
8		Talk to Parvati on the Ship	Once Paravati gets herself together, she can invite Junlei back to the ship for their date. Check with her to see if she's ready.
9		Check in on the Date	head to the kitchen and see how the date is going.
10		Chat with Parvati on the Ship	Parvati's date with Junlei is over. Ask her how the night went.

Additional information

If the Stranger decides on the beauty products and picks:

• Refurbished ship - few minutes after getting onboard the Unreliable Junlei will ask Parvati "Hey, do you have some new parts?" to which Parvati will casually respond "Nah, I used a new soap".
• Mock-apple and synthamon - Junlei notices the smell of the fragrance and says to Parvati: "Oh, you smell nice. Like mock-apples." to which Parvati respondes "Yeah, new soap."
• Rose-ish - Junlei will sneeze and ask Parvati if she had a new soap.

Developer Notes

• "Don't Bite the Sun" is the name of a novel written by Tanith Lee, first published in 1976. It's set in a dystopian, high-tech science fiction universe replete with many elements similar to The Outer Worlds. Tanith was a feminist author, writing about complex concepts of gender and identity. She followed "Don't Bite the Sun" with a second novel in the same universe called "Drinking Sapphire Wine".
