Anubis is a miniature tamed Canid and a possible pet of the Stranger in Peril on Gorgon.
Description[]
Anubis is a teacup canid, owned by Milburn Hoates. The Hoates have a family tradition of naming their canids after the legends of the old pharaohs. Anubis is a very picky eater, and dines exclusively on Terra 2 Saltuna. Milburn is worried about Anubis, because he didn't have a proper meal due to the recent Saltuna shortage.

Musgrave Family Collection, possibly Unreliable. It is unclear how the creature gets to the Unreliable, but the next time the Stranger visits Musgrave Family Collection the canid will not be in the Revue Hall. It may be assumed Anubis followed the stranger to the Unreliable, since Milburn will comment on his absence: "I let Anubis wander around without supervision as a treat. I am sure he'll be back soon enough."
Companion Reactions[]
Anubis will do some tricks after the Stranger chooses to pet him. Companions have different reactions to petting the creature:
- Ellie: Look out. That's what they do just before they piss everywhere.
- Felix: Awww. I think he likes you, boss. Can we keep'em?
- SAM: Danger, slobber, and trace feces filters equipped.
- Vicar Max: If I didn't know any better, I'd say that canid likes you more than its owner.
- Parvati: Look at those wiggles! You think that means we're friends?
- Nyoka: Careful. They're cute 'till they go for the throat.
