“It is expected that all employees of the Halcyon Holdings Corporation will use their full potential while acting in accordance with HHC's best interests. Please be reminded that acting against the interests of the corporations is acting against the interests of humanity.
„—Halcyon Holdings Corporation memo
Background[edit | edit source]
It is controlled by the Halcyon Holdings Corporate Board, which represents HHC's ten member corporations and effectively serves as Halcyon's ruling council. HHC was formed by the ten corporations specifically to purchase the rights to Halcyon from the Earth Directorate. The names for Halcyon's planets were decided by the HHC.
Leonard Wheeler when asked about how the Halcyon Holdings work explains:
“It goes like this. Back on Earth, before the Crossing, the powers that be were sellin' off stakes in distant star systems they though had "potential". A bunch of companies decided to throw in together and form the Halcyon Holdings Corporation, then they buy up the rights to this here colony. That group's what we now call the Board„
