Jasper Low is a character in Peril on Gorgon. He is the Lead Chemist at the Olympus Orbital Pharmaceutical Station (OOPS).
Background[]
Dr Jasper Low was a scientist who worked on Project Gorgon for Spacer's Choice at the CHEM Lab. Unhappy with his progress, Lawrence Goodfellow forced him to fire one in ten of his researchers. Jasper reported he was overworked with impossible deadlines.[1] He turned to testing on primals out of desperation, which made Marion Blakeslee furious, though that event remained a fond memory.[2] This did not help matters as the Gorgon Project was still floundering by the time the primals escaped and attacked his lab.[3] His services were soon transferred to Auntie Cleo when they offered several personnel in exchange.[4]
By the time he meets the Stranger, he had been working at OOPS for the past year. He and his team were meant to be working on Anthrocillin Plus, however Jasper turned his attention towards a drug of his own creation, Dr. Low's Sky High Mix. Unfortunately this meant they were no longer meeting milestones set by Auntie Cleo.
The corporation was dissatisfied with his progress on Anthrocillin Plus, and despite repeated warnings about the Pink Slip Protocol over several months, Jasper continued his work on Sky High.[5] Eventually, the protocol was instigated, turning the automechanicals hostile to all the workers inside the station.
He had a significant amount of pride and self-esteem, berating those that do not address him as a doctor.
Though he appeared rather callous about the loss of his dead colleagues after the Pink Slip protocol, his dialogue revealed his feelings of grief and guilt. Alongside his personal pride, these emotions drove him into continuing the development of Sky High despite all the loss he has experienced.

It is possible to pickpocket Dr. Low (lvl.2) and steal from him both the phonograph with CHEM lab passphrase and Employee Benefits science weapon. To get his CHEM lab security keycard, however, the Stranger must use persuasion (90).
