Doctor Marion Blakeslee is a character on the Groundbreaker in Peril on Gorgon.
Background[]
Prior to her work on Gorgon, she claimed she was the top of her field in Behavioral Sciences which led to her taking the aforementioned job.
Sometime before 2345, Marion Blakeslee ran the Human Inquiry and Auditing department for Spacer's Choice while Project Gorgon was active,[1] designing, running, and analyzing the tests of the project as a Testing Supervisor, as well as managing the employees.[2] At the time of the shutdown, accidents and escapes had occurred, suspected as sabotage. The final strike came in the form of all the test subjects escaping, and all the facilities being attacked. This would lead to the shutdown of Project Gorgon.[3]
After the Project was cancelled, she took refuge in the Groundbreaker, taking control of the lower level cameras and automechanicals in exchange for solitude and recluse from ever hearing of Gorgon again until the Groundbreaker can't sustain her,[4] setting the automechanicals to kill any intruders.[5][6] In addition, she negotiated and hired various unemployed Back Bay individuals calling themselves the Gardeners, to help take care of her science projects, as well as keeping investigators away from Blakeslee.[7]
During her conversation with the Stranger, it appeared she had doubts about the ethics of their work.[8]
She seemed to demonstrate an aptitude in determining the background of others. When she was confronted by the Stranger and their party, she could make accurate assumptions about their backgrounds based solely on their appearances.[9]

- The Stranger cannot pickpocket Dr. Blakeslee. To obtain her weapon, she must be killed (which will make Nyoka upset if she is the witness to the murder).
- If one decides to take a box of Rizzo Purpleberry Lunch from the chamber Marion is in, she will comment: "Sure, take it. I'm just drowning in dining options down here."
- Blakeslee is a smoker, shown in her dialogue and animations.[10]

But here you are." - ↑ Marion Blakeslee: "I thought I made myself cl- wait, what's with this camera? Hello? Damn. Look, I get it. Some people need things spelled out for them. I'm sure one of the automechanicals can explain."

Marion Blakeslee: "That depends. On how long the Groundbreaker's life support systems go on ticking, mostly. Indulge a scientist. What do you want out of this investigation of yours? Trying to light up your memoir?" - ↑ The Stranger: "What's the story with the gardeners, anyway?"
Marion Blakeslee: "Tryhards incompetent enough or unlucky enough to get themselves fired. Probably missed their bludgeoning quotas. They were milling around the Back Bays. We had some colorful negotiations. I talked them into keeping watch for me. Not hard. They were itching to feel important." - ↑ Marion Blakeslee: - "But I just...
