Phineas' Lab is a converted Auntie Cleo Storage Facility,[1] hidden in an asteroid in the rings of Terra 2. It is the secret base of Phineas Vernon Welles, a scientist opposed to the Halcyon Holdings Corporation. After Phineas recovers the Stranger from The Hope, he takes the Stranger to his lab before sending them down to the surface of Terra 2 to meet the smuggler, Captain Alex Hawthorne.

- When the Stranger reaches Phineas' lab for the first time, he mentions that he has never had any visitors. However, Alex Hawthorne's computer on the Unreliable states that Hawthorne visited Phineas on more than one occasion and even mentions the Shrink ray.
