Background[edit | edit source]
Sanjar Nandi is the current head of Monarch Stellar Industries (MSI), but his path to that title was not easy. Sanjar started working for MSI from a very young age and it was there where he met Graham Bryant, who would become his best friend at that time.
Despite early negative reports about his abusive tendency to pad all his reports and talks with numbers and data, Sanjar's desire was to move up within the company, which even led him to donate a kidney to one of the executives. Despite his frustration, Sanjar always showed himself as a loyal worker of the company and The Board.
When The Board announced the approval of the Hazard Clause, Sanjar and a few MSI employees (included Graham) saw that setback as an opportunity to improve the working conditions of Terra 1, although those ideas came into conflict with those of MSI leaders, which wanted to leave the planet. Everything changed when the majority of the executives died in the Amber Heights massacre, which made Sanjar the top leader of the company. That was when Sanjar found out, thanks to Hiram Blythe, about the existence of a legal loophole that would allow MSI to proclaim the ownership of the entire planet once the other companies abandoned it.
However, the many years of going alone have not been kind to Monarch and Sanjar's leadership of MSI. To improve the lives of the people he is responsible for (at least in his eyes), Sanjar has a plan to rejoin the Board through the use of a BOLT-52 form and proof of another corporate presence on Monarch. He is simultaneously working on a plan to reorganize the Board, hoping that his plans are not found out until MSI has been reinstated.
