Well, that makes you one of the few who actually read them. The guidelines are there to keep conversations on track, whether or not they are strictly enforced. Is the same rules across all our wikis, even though we do allow admins to edit them as needed. If I go to a wiki, chances are I'm not there to discuss the 'leaving hairballs on the floor at 3am' antics of someones cat, unless it's a cat wiki and who wants to flip through 100+ posts to get to something that is related to what the community is about? That's my take on it anyway. The guidelines stay for now, but who's to say what future admins of this community decide to do?
